About Zigler Family Law, PLLC

I founded Zigler Family Law so that I could use my skills as an attorney to help families in times of crisis. I chose to practice family law, because unlike other areas of the law, it changes and evolves. With over 15 years of experience in family law, helping families through divorce, parenting plans, and protection orders, I have seen clients through the most vulnerable times in their lives. Over the years, after finishing a case, clients have asked if I could help them write or rewrite their estate plans. It makes sense that once we’ve formed a trusting relationship, clients would want to come back to me for their estate planning needs – and for me, it’s fulfilling to provide a service to clients that will help to keep them out of court.

While I was reaching out to the New Law Business Model to become a certified Personal Family Lawyer, my law school BFF, Jennifer, was forming her own estate planning firm. I hired Jennifer, whose experience is a perfect fit for Zigler Family Law’s estate planning vibe. Although Jennifer and I went to law school and became attorneys together eons ago, Jennifer put her law career on pause to become a public school teacher, and eventually assistant principal. And now she’s back as an attorney! She is an expert at taking complicated subjects and breaking them into digestible chunks. This is perfect for anyone who is new to estate planning.

Jennifer and I share many things in common, other than that we’re both lawyers and Gonzaga University alumni: we’ve both navigated divorce, loss of close family members, and are currently stepparents; we also love karaoke, dancing, the Zags, and the Seahawks (CA-CAWWWW). We understand how complicated estate planning can be for folks with nontraditional families, whether that’s a blended family or your chosen family. We’re excited to share our knowledge with you.
