About Tanya Hendrix
About Me
I’m Alabama through and through, raised in the "country" in South Alabama, spent time on the Gulf Coast, and now call Huntsville home with my husband and our two dogs. I’ve been practicing law since 2001, and clients often describe me as passionate, persistent, and hard-working. Those traits have served me well across a wide range of legal work over the years.
I started my career as a prosecutor, focusing on crimes against children, and later opened my own general practice. I’ve handled everything from divorces and adoptions to criminal defense and estate planning. In 2013, I took a step away from traditional law to work directly with victims of sex trafficking, work that deeply shaped who I am and how I show up for others.
With more than 75 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials under my belt, I’ve helped clients through some of their most difficult times—whether in the courtroom or around the kitchen table discussing a will. At the heart of it all, my passion is helping people feel seen, heard, and supported, especially those who’ve experienced trauma or injustice. Today, I’m proud to serve as a Personal Family Lawyer®, helping families protect what matters most through thoughtful estate planning. I believe in giving clients peace of mind, a clear plan, and the confidence that their legacy will be preserved with care
