About Susan Kirkpatrick

Susan's approach is rooted in empathy and open communication. She believes in fair, ethical practices and creates a safe space for clients to make important decisions about their legacy. By offering flat-fee services that are agreed upon upfront, Susan ensures there are no unexpected charges, which help make the process more transparent and stress-free.

Susan crafts personalized plans that ensure the smooth transfer of wealth-be it financial, intellectual, or spiritual-while minimizing the risk of court disputes or family conflict. She understands that families come in all shapes and sizes-whether you're married, divorced, re-married, single, have children or not, or have a biological, adoptive, or blended family. Whether you have a life partner or companion, or identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, Susan recognizes that you care deeply about the people in your life and want to make their lives easier if something happens to you.

Her approach is centered around guiding clients with ease, ensuring that families avoid the legal battles and emotional strife that often result from poor planning. Her priority is to craft a complete plan that reflects your unique needs, protecting your legacy and ensuring your loved ones are supported during difficult times.

Having earned her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 1980 and graduating with honors, Susan worked in the legal field for over 28 years before taking a 10-year hiatus due to family matters. In 2022, she returned to law, committed to guiding clients throughout every season of life-creating a plan that achieves your goals for your loved ones today and for years to come.

In her spare time, she supports the arts by attending live music performances and enjoys spending time with her family: her husband Steve, two adult children Megan and Alec, and her four grandchildren (three of whom are triplets). A voracious reader, she is currently working on her first book.

Susan's estate planning practice is located in Olympia, Washington.
