Sotera Anderson

Hi. I’m Sotera Anderson. I am passionate about protecting families and their legacies by helping them plan for the unexpected.

I have been practicing law in California since 2000. I started my career in mid to large law firms defending the country’s well known, big name manufacturers. I eventually came to specialize in lemon law cases. At the same time, I was a lawyer in the military where I had the opportunity to help our service members with basic estate planning before they deployed to serve our country.

While at the big law firms, I had my daughter, Sophia, who completely changed my perspective on life and what was important to me. Sophia made me want to do good in the world; to make a difference in people's lives in our community; to use my skills to help those in our community. I didn't feel like I was doing that at the big law firms and felt more like I was pushing paper. It was very transactional, not personal at all. That bothered me. I had to really think about what I wanted for my career and my life. Even though I was making good money and I loved the people I worked with, I knew that representing the manufacturers was not going to fill my heart.

I took a leap of faith and opened my own law office. I switched sides in lemon law and started representing consumers where I now get to feel great about my work being able to help everyday people change their predicament. I also made sure that my law office focused on estate planning for families - this is where my heart and passion truly is. Thinking about my life and my daughter and what would happen if something happened to me, really scared me. Having kids just changes your perspective on life. Kids have a special place in my heart and helping families to protect and provide for their little ones means a lot to me personally.

I am not just your lawyer. I am your trusted advisor who helps you make the very best personal, financial, and legal decisions for your family throughout your lifetime and beyond. My goal is to help you not just now, but also when you can't be there by guiding your loved ones through a difficult process.

I pride myself on providing heart-based services. I deliver peace of mind. I create more connected families during life and afterwards.
