About Sam:

After more than twenty years as a litigation attorney, Sam has leveraged this experience and turned his primary focus to helping families develop and implement estate planning strategies that will prevent conflict and keep them out of court by working alongside clients to develop effective solutions which will positively impact their families for generations to come. Too often Sam saw clients that didn't have key estate planning measures in place or had a set of documents that were never implemented or had a plan developed years ago that was terribly out of date when it was needed most by the family.

Sam realized there was a real need to help families prepare estate and legacy plans that went beyond just a set of documents. To have a real solution that worked, an effective solution for those that matter most, one that prevented conflict and avoided court, people needed a trusted advisor to help them anticipate, plan, and implement estate planning solutions that would help them do that. But effective estate planning is more than just avoiding court and preventing conflict, it is also about taking steps to preserve and pass on your most important asset - who you are and what is important to you. This is the type of wealth your family will treasure for generations, long after the financial assets are gone.

Sam is a middle Georgia native, a husband, and a father of three. He grew up in Marshallville, Macon County, Georgia in a family associated with the origin of today's Peach industry in a home that has been in his family since the mid-1800's. He earned his B.S. degree in Ocean Engineering at the United States Naval Academy and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy's nuclear submarine community before beginning his legal career in 2002. Sam received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University's School of Law in Raleigh, North Carolina and maintains an "AV" Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubble, the highest attorney rating for demonstrated skill, professionalism, and ethics.

Sam and his family live in Macon and are members at First Presbyterian Church, Macon (PCA). His wife, Donna, owns and operates Donna Rumph Events and Florals, LLC, a wedding and event planning business, in addition to serving as Sam's Client Services Director. Together they have focused on developing and preserving strong family values, first with their own family, and now by investing in their community with these key touchpoints as couples begin a life together and through effective family legacy planning.
