Macy Ledet

Macy Lauren Ledet was born and raised in South Louisiana, and for many years lived in Texas, where she started her family and honed in her business background.

Prior to Law School, Macy attended Louisiana State University , where she graduated with a degree in Political Science , with a minor in Sociology. From there, she entered the business world, running an engineering company, and starting a real estate investment business, while raising her son and her daughter.

10 years later, as the founding member and lead practicing attorney of M Ledet Law, Macy graduated from Loyola University, New Orleans College of Law in 2018, and created an extensive background in her Family Law practice. This includes Wills, Successions, Divorce and Custody matters, as well as Civil Mediations, and most importantly, a five-year concentration in Trust practices and developments. Macy also serves as general counsel for two industrial companies in Louisiana.

As an Estates and Trusts attorney, Macy approaches estate planning with a close, personal perspective. Six years ago, at the age of 37, she was paralyzed while in a car accident with her two children. She learned firsthand how quickly life can change, and how important it is to have a plan in place for life's unexpected events. Her accident was proof that catastrophic events can happen at any age, to anyone, and waiting until the age of retirement to plan for the future or our children's future is no plan at all.

In her spare time, Macy is an SCI advocate for the spinal cord injury community, a patient advocate for the Paralysis Center at Harvard, and Board Secretary for Split-Second Foundation. She thoroughly enjoys working with her Elder law and Special-needs clients, and looks forward to continuing to serve her community for many, many years to come.

Macy is currently licensed in Louisiana and Texas, and remains a qualified mediator for the State of Louisiana.
