Lena Chun Lee, Esq.
Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney
With over twenty years of legal experience, Lena Chun Lee is a compassionate and trusted Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney dedicated to helping families protect what matters most — their loved ones, their legacies, and their peace of mind.
Lena began her career at a boutique insurance defense firm before joining American Transit Insurance Company as in-house counsel. She later founded her own solo practice and became a Partner at Baucom, Claytor, Benton, Morgan & Wood, before bringing her extensive experience to Linville Law. Today, she focuses on comprehensive estate and elder law planning, working with families from all walks of life and asset levels — from young families just starting to plan, to seniors seeking guidance in later-life decisions, to high-net-worth clients managing complex estates.
At Linville Law, Lena’s work centers on collaboration and care. She partners closely with her clients’ financial advisors, CPAs, and wealth managers to ensure every element of their plan works in harmony. She also works alongside her father, a CPA who serves high-net-worth clients, allowing them to offer a seamless experience for families seeking both financial and legal expertise. Her approach goes beyond “death planning” — she focuses on life, legacy, and wealth planning, helping clients design strategies that preserve family harmony, minimize conflict, and keep their loved ones out of court and out of conflict.
Driven by a lifelong passion for advocacy and community, Lena became a lawyer to empower others and give a voice to those who might otherwise go unheard. She has long been active in Asian community organizations, church groups, and LGBT groups, believing deeply that every family deserves thoughtful, accessible legal guidance.
Her leadership extends beyond her practice. Lena has served as President of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York, where she also served on the board from 2002–2010 and volunteered in their New Jersey pro bono clinic for nearly a decade. She has been part of the Carolinas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce (CAACC) since its inception in 1999, helping establish the Asian Festival in Charlotte in 2000, and currently sits on its board. She also serves on the boards of Ascend, the Korean Association of Charlotte, and the North Carolina Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and on the Board of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Elder Law Section as the Membership Committee Chair. She is an active member of both the Mecklenburg County Bar’s Estate Planning Committee and the North Carolina Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section .
A Charlotte native, Lena graduated from Myers Park High School, earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Juris Doctor from New York Law School in Manhattan. She is affiliated with WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, and is a Personal Family Lawyer®, reflecting her dedication to continuous learning and excellence in her field.
Lena is passionate about educating and empowering families to make the best decisions for their futures. Whether guiding clients through elder care, wealth transfer, or legacy planning, she approaches each case with empathy, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to helping families create plans that bring clarity, security, and lasting peace of mind.
