Lauryn Lauderdale

My estate planning practice focuses on helping families enhance their lives today and secure their futures tomorrow. I enjoy guiding my clients through the often-confusing maze of financial and legal decisions to create plans that ensure the well-being of their families and the accomplishment of cherished family goals. My focus areas include family protection, wealth preservation and values-based planning, as well as planning strategies for unmarried couples and divorced individuals. I graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 1996. While at Cumberland, I served as a member of The American Journal of Trial Advocacy and as treasurer of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. She was included in the publication Who’s Who Among American Law Students 1996.

After graduation, I worked an associate attorney for Cincinnati Insurance Company at a branch office located in Birmingham, Alabama. I defended Cincinnati’s insureds in various cases involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, workers compensation and product liability.

My husband and I moved to Opelika, Alabama and joined the law firm of Gullege and Tickal, LLP, where we handled cases involving criminal law, family law, civil litigation and probate. I was awarded a Lee County Circuit and District Court Indigent Criminal Defense Services Contract.

Kent and I started own own practice in June of 2005, Lauderdale & Lauderdale PC. We represent clients in the areas of criminal defense, divorce, child custody, juvenile dependency, small business matters, worker’s compensation and Social Security disability. I has chosen to focus on the area of trusts and estates, because I is passionate about helping families create happy and secure futures.

I am a soccer mom because our son plays soccer, so our weekends are usually spent on a soccer field. We also have two dogs that are spoiled rotten!
