About Joyce Bartizal
Welcome! I’m Joyce Bartizal, an attorney with over 30 years’ experience, ready to help you create or update your estate plan. I focus on foundational and comprehensive estate planning designed to keep your estate and your family out of Probate court and conflict. I service clients throughout Illinois and co-counsel with attorneys in other states when your plan requires it. Whether you are married or single, widowed or divorced, a blended family or just starting your family, I can help you create a plan that meets your needs.
Before opening my own law firm in 2007, I was an Assistant Cook County Public Defender and a staff attorney for the Office of the Chief Judge of the Cook County Circuit Courts. I received my law degree from Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent College of Law and my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. I also have a master's degree in business from the internationally recognized Thunderbird School of Global Management (Arizona State University), and a mediation certification from DePaul University's College of Law - Center for Dispute Resolution.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my pets. I am also an avid scuba diver (retired PADI instructor) and frequent traveler with a bucket list of locations I am eager to visit.
