About Jarrett McCartney

Hello, I'm Jarrett. I am a Personal Family Lawyer trained by the nation's best practice model for estate planning. I grew up near Detroit, MI, and am a die-hard fan of all the Detroit sports teams. I currently reside in West Michigan's beach town of Muskegon. Thanks to modern technology, I am able to serve clients throughout the Great Lakes State.

My desire to help people led me to my prior career as a social worker and to my current position as an estate planning attorney. In both careers, I learned the value of developing trust by building close relationships with my clients. Everyone wants to feel at ease with the individual with whom they discuss the personal details of their life. People often describe me as easy-going and say that I'm easy to talk with. I believe these personality traits have guided me to this specific type of law. I am here to patiently listen, learn, and then guide you as you make important decisions for your estate. Those decisions will become legal documents that will speak for you in situations where you can no longer speak for yourself. Your trust will protect your privacy, your money and your loved ones.

Serving as your lifelong personal family lawyer allows your loved ones feel more comfortable coming to me in the event that you are incapacitated or no longer with us. In this role, I believe that my compassion and sensitivity are equally as valuable as my education, experience and legal knowledge.
