Hugo Valverde's parents fled political persecution in Peru to come to the United States. As a firm believer that immigrants make America great, Hugo has practiced law since 2005, most of that time serving immigrant families.
He founded the law firm of Valverde Law to be able to better serve and connect with families. Hugo brings exceptional credentials to his work. He began his legal career working for the U.S. Department of Justice, selected through the competitive U.S. Attorney General's Honors Program. He graduated with honors from Regent University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Virginia. Prior to obtaining his law degree, he obtained graduate and bachelor's degrees from Duke University and the College of William and Mary, respectively.
Hugo is a recipient of the R. Edwin Burnette Jr. Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the Virginia State Bar. Outside of work, Hugo is proud to call Virginia Beach home, where he enjoys surfing, soccer, and spending time with his family. He hosts a weekly Spanish-language show on the local radio station La Selecta (103.3 FM/1050AM) and online platforms.
