Gabriela Sala

Gabriela Sala (Gabi) graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2018. She is licensed to practice in Wyoming and the Wind River Tribal Court. 

During law school, Gabi was very involved in student organizations, including student government, Multicultural Law Students’ Association, Wyoming Law Students for Equal Justice, Women’s Law Forum, and Society for International Law. Gabi also participated in several student competitions (as competitor and volunteer) to get a feel for the practice of law, including the Voir Dire Law Student Competition, ABA Negotiation Competition, and ABA Client Counseling Competition. Gabi also took advantage of course offerings abroad and attended Cambridge Summer Law Institute through the University of Wyoming College of Law with Jeanne Core; Comparative Environmental Law through UC Davis School of Law in Como, Italy; and International Human Rights through American University, Washington College of Law in Geneva, Switzerland, specifically the program A Decent Work Agenda at the International Labor Organization. 

Before law school, Gabi completed her undergraduate degree at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She then spent some time in Lima, Peru, visiting family and completing an internship at the school she attended when she lived in Peru. Gabi’s more recent activities include working at a bilingual school in Colorado and being the “auntie” to several amazing kids. Gabi’s passion is in helping children and helping people with disabilities. She is particularly interested in mental health and ensuring everyone gets the support they need. Prior to working at Core Legal, Gabi worked at Wyoming Children’s Law Center, Inc.  Working at WCLC was an invaluable experience. Gabi is a native Spanish speaker and is happy to provide legal services to Spanish speaking people.

In her free time, Gabi enjoys knitting, reading, building Lego sets and, above all, spending time with “her” kids and her mom.
