Attorney Erin Dyer’s estate planning practice focuses on helping families and single professionals, typically in the middle of their lives, protect what they have built, care for the people they love, and move into the future with clarity and confidence. Erin is most passionate about providing families with the knowledge and means of protecting minor children from exposure to the state system upon death or incapacity through responsible estate planning in addition to protecting their assets. Erin is also passionate about serving single professionals, like herself, either with or without children; a vastly overlooked demographic in estate planning. Whatever your background or family dynamic, Erin is committed to providing planning with care to meet your needs.
Erin is a die-hard double Zag, having graduated from Gonzaga University and Gonzaga University School of Law. Erin is a native of the greater Seattle area and moved back to the westside after her studies where she began her career lending a voice to victims of crime as a prosecuting attorney with a specialty in handling sexual assault and abuse crimes, primarily perpetrated against children. After her first decade as a prosecutor, Erin utilized the experience and skills she had developed by becoming an Assistant Attorney General, initially handling the Civil Commitment of Sexually Violent Predators. Erin later represented the Department of Labor and Industries in Worker’s Compensation litigation and Adult Protective Services in Guardianship matters on behalf of vulnerable adults.
In 2018, Erin moved back to Spokane, which had always felt like her second home, and went into private practice representing people injured through other’s negligence in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Throughout Erin’s career, she has felt the calling to help others in the most meaningful way possible at periods in their life where they are most vulnerable. Helping clients navigate the complexities of estate planning in a meaningful and heart-centered way is an extension of this calling through community outreach and education to help clients understand and identify their needs and what is important to them to make educated decisions in leaving a lasting legacy for their loved ones that is actually going to work when the time comes.
Erin is a Certified Personal Family Lawyer, an earned designation that provides her with access to a nationwide network of more than 800 estate planning attorneys who share a commitment to relationshipbased planning and ongoing client care. With Erin’s vast litigation and alternative dispute resolution experience, she is committed to assisting individuals and families with avoiding the common mistakes in estate planning and the courtroom by delivering plans that are guided by values and built to last.
