Elena Ortega Tauler

Elena Ortega-Tauler graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1988, and she has been practicing law in Florida for more than 20 years. Throughout her many years of practice, Elena has made tremendous strides in her career. She is the founder of Tauler Law Firm, a law firm that grew to a 35 legal member staff, handling thousands of civil litigation cases. She is a member the Florida Bar Association, she has also been a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, Wealth Counsel member, and the Family Wealth Planning Institute member. She is also an adjunct professor for Florida International University. Elena is also an active member of the community through volunteering and partnering with non-profit organizations and by making herself available to educate and inform others. Her experience and expertise are the reasons why she is a widely respected lawyer in her community. In 2018, she ran for Miami Dade County Court Judge, receiving over 116,000 votes.

As an attorney, Elena is known for her caring and responsive approach to the needs of her clients. As she states, "I went to law school because I've always had a passion for helping people." Soon after running for Judge, Elena knew that entering politics was not the way for her to impact the change she wanted to see in her community.
