About Dominique Braggs
Dominique Carmichael Braggs is a seasoned attorney with a distinguished career in estate planning, elder law, and probate. She earned her Bachelor of Science in International Strategic History, focusing on North Africa and Southwest Asia, from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1994. Following her undergraduate studies, she served as a Finance Officer in the United States Army, with assignments in South Korea and Texas. After her military service, Dominique worked as a Process Engineer and Global Commodity Leader at General Electric in Indiana and Kentucky, respectively. She later pursued legal studies, earning her Juris Doctor in 2005. citeturn0search0
Dominique began her legal career crafting estate plans for first responders and law enforcement officers. A personal experience with a family member's dementia underscored for her the importance of comprehensive estate planning and the challenges that arise when courts must intervene to protect incapacitated individuals. In 2008, she established her first law firm, focusing on probate matters and serving as Guardian Ad Litem, General Guardian, Healthcare Guardian, and Conservator for incapacitated adults in Washington, D.C., and as Guardian Ad Litem for juveniles in Virginia. citeturn0search0
Dominique is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. She is deeply committed to community service, having served on the Board of Directors for Aspire! After School Learning program in Arlington, VA, for six years, an organization that supports students in the 3rd through 5th grades. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the WCWS 1994 Class Fund, which provides assistance and support to members of the United States Military Academy Class of 1994 and their families. citeturn0search0
