Aloha, I'm David Bernstein, and I became a Personal Family Lawyer because I see it as my life mission to help families get an estate plan in place AND share their legacy while they do it.

I'm here to help give peace of mind to families throughout the Islands and assist in navigating the maze of legal and financial decisions all families face.

We focus on serving clients of all types, and to that end, we have offices in Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Hilo, and Kona.

Whether you are married or single, have a traditional family or a blended one, starting out or looking back on a life well-lived, I will help you to design a plan that achieves your goals for your loved ones today and for years to come.

I graduated from U.C. Hastings with a J.D./M.B.A and have been an attorney since '83. Besides my Hawaii law license, I kept my California law license as well and have found it is helpful when I assist clients who have moved here from California.

I love educating my community on the topics of estate planning and legacy building and have hosted hundreds of webinars and seminars. I have lived in Hawaii now for the past 35 years. I have been Practicing Estate Planning for over 20 years, and I have prepared over 2000 Estate Plans.

When I'm not working on estate planning, I enjoy spending time with my children, grandchildren, and my life partner, Iko.
