Eric Lindhorst is a talented attorney dedicated to helping individuals and families make the very best legal decisions. Eric's practice focuses on estate planning, wealth transfer, asset protection, special needs planning, and business formation and counsel. He develops lifelong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor to them and to their families. Eric skillfully guides his clients as they preserve and protect their assets, their loved ones, and their legacies, including their intellectual, spiritual and human assets.
Eric received both his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Following law school, Eric's professional background began with a successful career in corporate litigation, representing large companies in cases involving multimillion dollar disputes. What gave him the most professional satisfaction was helping people with whom he had develop personal relationships. Eric later worked for the largest inventory finance company in the United States as Senior Counsel, but realized that with many years of practice in front of him, he did not want to continue a career involving the combative work of litigation. Eric discovered that families - especially families with young children - really need help setting up their estate plans to protect those they love. In 2004, Eric opened the Lindhorst Law Firm to help such people and to become an ongoing trusted advisor and lifelong resource so that he could be there for their families when they cannot.
As one of only 70 lawyers nationwide to earn the Family Wealth Planning Institute's designation of Personal Family Lawyer®, and as the only Personal Family Lawyer® in Missouri, Eric is devoted to helping families and businesses in the St. Louis area achieve their goals of protecting their wealth through innovative estate and business planning. When he is not busy practicing law, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife (Brenda) and children (Jimmy, Erin, Taylor and Alex), boating, and playing guitar.
